FAQ

  • This is an online space private to SunRidge and private to groups within SunRidge. This allows people to connect with SunRidge details without sifting through social media platforms.

It’s a great space for posting and responding to prayer requests quickly. It allows people to share how God is encouraging them which then encourages the group when it’s shared! It allows us to send out invitations to events or opportunities easily.

  • We believe this app has the potential to make connecting with SunRidge easier and will facilitate meaningful messaging within groups. While there will be some things to figure out as we go, we hope you’ll come on this app adventure with us!

If you don’t want to join but still want to know about church prayer requests and events, sign-up to receive the prayer letter here and sign-up to receive the events newsletter here.

  • For now we will keep the church facebook group going for those who want it but we want to offer an alternate online space. We feel Facebook, though there are some great things about it, is a risky space to encourage people to come to. Currently, Facebook has built it’s platform in a way that we feel encourages divisiveness and anxiety.

  • For now, yes.

Currently we have two ways we’re on social media; 1, the public profile and 2, the private group.

We would like to move the content and conversation happening in the private group elsewhere but we, for now, will continue having a public profile.

Why keep putting content out on a public profile? We want to reach people in any space. But we want to invite people to come to an online space we feel is safe and positive.

  • Check our website for upcoming event information, view groups, and see serving opportunities.

  • Yep. Such a valid question.

Social Media is so deeply a part of our culture and systems that most of us have a hard time figuring out how to be off it or manage being on it in a healthy way. All that to say, we see a problem and are not 100% sure what the solution is.

What we do know is we can do our best to create an online conversation space for SunRidge that doesn’t require people to stay on platforms we recognize can be problematic.
